We are seeking an individual to join our organization in our agronomy division. Our agronomy division consists of helping growers with crop planning and execution for their growing seasons. Planning includes Pioneer Seed, Agricultural chemicals, and liquid fertilizers. Execution includes repacking chemicals, delivering seed, chemicals, and fertilizer, and manning a fertilizer plant. Follow up with growers, manning a drone, helping with grower meetings, putting in plots, and putting up fields signs are also included in this position to eventually be trained into an Agronomist/Sales Agronomist role. We are a small family owned retailer that has been in business for over 50 years. Qualifications or Skills:
• AS Agronomy or Ag-related degree
• Self-directed personality
• Excellent communication skills
• A desire to learn and build relationships with our growers
• A CDL Class A license is preferred but will help the right individual get one.
• Computer skills–specifically Excel
• Any drone skills is a plus
Duties:
• Drone scouting
• Learn Pioneer system and help with accounting, sorting, and delivery of seed
• Help with chemical repacking, loading, and delivery
• Run scale house during fertilizer season
• Plan grower meetings, plot tours, etc
• Keep in contact with current customers and look for potential customers
